COVID-19 UPDATE August, 4, 2021: Our practice is open with continued Curbside and In-Person Care

To our Valued Customers,

The health and well-being of your pet is our top priority. As news of continuing coronavirus vaccination in our community continues to develop, we are monitoring the situation closely with much hope and positivity! Guidelines from the CDC are changing rapidly, and we are doing our best to follow them.

At this time, our clinic remains operating under regular business hours with curbside care and in-person visits. It is the decision of our clients whether they would like to accompany their pet inside or remain in their vehicle. We require masks for both vaccinated and unvaccinated customers at this time, per new CDC guidelines. If you forget your mask, we are happy to provide you with one!

While the CDC and other health authorities have indicated that dogs, cats, and other domestic animals are not considered at high risk for contracting COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of humans within our facilities.  We are working closely with our staff to ensure that anyone who is not feeling well understands that we support them in staying home.

To our customers:

  • If you are feeling ill or experiencing flu-like symptoms and have an upcoming wellness (not critical) appointment, we kindly ask that you call us to reschedule.
  • If you are healthy with no signs of illness, please bring your animal to our hospital and practice social distancing.  Please wear a face covering! When you arrive at the clinic, please call 646-7200 and we will check you in for your appointment. If there is a clean exam room available, a receptionist will direct you inside, and if not, a technician will come out and walk you in when a clean exam room becomes available. If you prefer to remain in your car, a staff member will be out to retrieve your pet.
  • We have staff members on call for pet pickup and medication/food home drop-off if you do not want to come in to our clinic. Please know that we stock most Flea/Tick and Heartworm preventatives and will MATCH ALL ONLINE PHARMACY PRICES! We can ship, deliver or have you pick up!
  • Our Online Pharmacy is also available on our clinic website  www.postroadvet.com. Here you can order prescription medications, pet food and preventatives as long as we have a current wellness exam on your animal.

For more information and health guidance regarding COVID-19, please visit the CDC or WHO websites. For additional questions, please contact us at 207-646-7200 or [email protected].

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
